Today I found a bug with windows vista. Inadvertently, I used the key combination ctrl+alt+key down, and my screen resolution increased manyfold. When I tried to change it by going to Desktop-> Personalize -> Display Settings, first I got a warning that there is some problem with the video card and then there was no option to change the desktop resoltion. I was in a fix how to get my correct resolution back. But then there is a 'bramhastra' for almost all software related problems, to restart the program. I too resorted to it, restarted the system and thankfully, found my screen resolution correct.
PS: As things got well after restarting the system, I tried it again, but could not reproduce it.
=> Intermittent problem, a very common and difficult bug for developers to fix. ....
